DESCRIPTION





Night Parade is a VR adaptation of the bullet hell genre. I intend to bring the frenetic action of games like Touhou Project to the VR space while expanding on the bullet hell formula by utilising the affordances given by a VR experience that regular Bullet hell games lack. The game will be suitable for players of all ages, capable of using a VR headset. However, the game is more targeted towards players looking for more of a challenging experience rather than casual play.
Similar to the Touhou Project series of games, the intended player experience for Bullet hell VR is a tense hyper focus that gives way into a flow like state as players skilfully dodge and weave between bullets.
In this game, various enemies will appear in front of the player and shoot projectiles at them. The player must avoid the projectiles by either dodging out of the way or using their sword to try and block the projectiles. For every projectile blocked with the sword the player will charge their spell gauge which when full, allows them to fire a spell to stun enemies. The player can also grab enemies that are stunned, allowing the player use them as a shield or simply attack them.
